Shoutbase works great on your mobile phone or tablet as well! The mobile web app can be added to your home screen, and after that, it works just like an app you’d install via the App Store. Here’s what you need to track time on the go:

iOS Installation

• On your device, open Safari and go to app.shoutbase.com.
• Click the up arrow icon at the bottom of the browser and select “Add to Home Screen.”
• Accept the defaults and click “Add” in the upper right corner.

• Once the app appears on your home screen, tap the icon and log in. (You may need to re-log in, even if you already did in the browser.)
• Great! You’re in. You should now be able to access the app, quit it, and restart it without needing to log in again.

Android Installation

• On your device, open Chrome or another mobile web browser and go to app.shoutbase.com.
• Click the three dots on the top of the browser and select “Add to Home Screen.” Accept the defaults and click “Add”.
• Drag the Shoutbase icon to the prefered location on your home screen.

• Once the app appears on your home screen, tap the icon and log in. (You may need to re-log in, even if you already did in the browser.)
• Great! You’re in. You should now be able to access the app, quit it, and restart it without needing to log in again.

Usage

To add a new entry or start a timer, click the plus button. By default, the start date and time is now, and if you click “Save,” you’ll start a running timer. You can also add a start time and an end time to record past time. If a timer is running, you’ll see the elapsed time in the upper right corner. You can edit existing time by navigating to a particular day or date range and tapping on an entry.

Limited Focus

The mobile app is currently optimized for entering time. Other tasks, like reporting and team management, are best done within the web app on a desktop computer.
